Volkswagen wins 7 awards in 2011

Kuala Lumpur, 30 December 2011- Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM), a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, wins seven awards from the motoring media fraternity this year.
VGM Managing Director Mr. Ricky Tay said the board of directors and the VGM team is elated with the achievement and will continue to work harder to reach-out to all Malaysians.
“We would like to thank the motoring media for these awards as it gives us recognition for the work that we have done and it showcases the quality of Volkswagen vehicles. Moving forward, we will continue to educate Malaysians on Das Auto, the Volkswagen principals and increase overall customer satisfaction,” Tay said.
Malaysians are fast becoming acquainted with the Volkswagen brand as it rapidly appeals to a cross section of society.
This has been achieved through various brand initiatives, including the Volkswagen Das Auto Show 2011, which was held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in September, and the rapid introduction of several products in the last one year.
The growth of the brand’s dealer network also complemented this brand exposure with the opening of the dealerships in Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Sungai Besi in Kuala Lumpur, in Ipoh, Perak and one in Kuching, Sarawak this past year.
Mr. Tay further commented that Volkswagen is striving to be the No.1 non-national car choice for Malaysians. “We would like to thank Malaysians for choosing Volkswagen as their preferred brand,” Mr Tay added.
