ANOTHER AMAZING YEAR FOR AMAZING TRAILS & TRIBE TOYOTA
SHAH ALAM, Selangor– Tribe Toyota, the official Toyota community catered to Toyota owners across Malaysia, held their flagship event Amazing Trails of the Thrillseekers 2011 on 3rd December 2011.
Under the theme of “Adrenaline”, Toyota owners formed teams with friends and family to compete on three exciting challenges that could ultimately win them attractive cash prizes. A total of 26 teams scaled an indoor rock-climbing wall, raced for points at a go-kart circuit and styled themselves up at a bazaar, all the while working hard to garner social support (entitled “Cheers”) from their friends via Facebook at the same time.
It proved to be a tight race and the difference between the Overall Champion and the first runner-up was a mere 8 points. Team MySun took home the title of Overall Champion and a cash prize of RM5, 000. Additional cash prizes of RM2, 000 was also presented to the winning teams of each Challenge Category.
These teams were Team Colombiana (rock-climbing challenge), Team Say Chye & Amigos (go-kart challenge) and Team Forever Alone (style challenge). A special prize was also presented to Team Kitzilla for being the Most Congenial team, e.g the team that accumulated the most Cheers from their social networks. The Amazing Trails, first launched in 2005, is just one of the many exclusive events organised by Tribe Toyota for Toyota owners and their friends! Its main aim is to add to Tribe Toyota’s overarching goal of building a close-knit community where Toyota owners can make friends and share in fun lifestyle-oriented activities with other like-minded Toyota owners.
Besides the Amazing Trails, other Tribe Toyota-organised events include the series of workshops called Road Survival Skills. This popular workshop teaches Toyota owners and friends, invaluable knowledge on personal safety and security while on the road. Thus far, the workshop has been hosted in 8 cities across Malaysia; this year it was at Kuantan and Alor Setar. More events are in the works for 2012.

The portal was developed for Toyota car owners where they get together to swap tips, ideas and engage in discussions on the active forum, Tribe Talk. Currently, the online community boasts over 33,000 members with many more coming on board.
There are lots more a Toyota owner can do in this portal including booking a Service Appointment, check on their service maintenance history, their eVoucher status and also their loyalty Merit accumulation points.
